Dear all I am writing this review after using 3 days of Redmi 2. Good Service by Flipkart.Come to the point ... I have na iPhone also with iOS 7.1 its almost same . Awesome MIUI .

Now whoever is telling that they don't receive Whats-app,FB,Twitter push notification and blaming Redmi2 please don't...

I am using this mobile from past 4 months and I use FB/watsapp/Linkedin/DropBox/FB messaging regularly and other good apps. I don't generally use my mobile for gaming. I am photographer too.

I have been using a Moto G Ist Gen. Last week it fell down and the display cracked. Opted to buy a new phone and zeroed in on Redmi 2 based on the good feedback for Redmi 1 from a friend.
Pros: Excellent build quality
Perfect size and form factor
Brilliant and crisp display
Good battery backup - will last for atleast 12-14 hours with moderate to heavy usage

Cons: Slow
UI transitions not smooth

People who know me know that I'm not a fan of Apple phones, especially after having used them. Earlier, I use to compare my Moto G (2013) with it and favoured the Moto G. I also have a Moto E which is also good for its price, though I'll put it equal to the iOS based devices from Apple.

Now, I got the Redmi 2 in the first flash sale from Flipkart and they delivered it in 3 days. Good. And I'll now ask Apple to beat this.

The phone has worked well till now. The phone can be operated with single hand and the UI needs a little more change. As for the phone itself, it is beautifully made and the quick charge is an amazing feature. Great going by flipkart delivered within 18 hours. Wow

* Awesome sound with loud & decent.
* performance - so far good.
* display is very good for this price.
* camera - very good for this price.
* both SIM supports 4G.

Pros
- good display
- good camera (front and back) for the price range
- MIUI has good features but needs getting used to
- good sound quality in speaker

Cons
-Cant mov apps to SD card
-Have to search a lot to find many setting like changing to personal lock screen
-default gallery app not good
-Not headset in box

Redmi 2 seems to be a third rate product. Purchased this 4 months ago and now the product is not working. The service center is useless and do not have the capability to identify or rectify the issue and also say that they require one month to rectify the issue.

Strong recommendation against purchase of this product - XIOMI REDMI2

I have got this phone for my mother who is not so tech - savvy hence it would not make much of a difference. But for someone who is from Gen Y it is a BIG NO for them
Cons
1. Front cam is poor even than VGA
2. The MUI6.0 eats up all the RAM with no apps installed it has only 200 MB free ram. Hence will hamper multi app usage..
3. Game like Temple run will lag.
4. Apps will run not run on sd card and you have around 4.8 GB space on phone.
