LAVA Iris 405 (Black, 4 GB)  (512 MB RAM)

To my surprise LAVA has come up with one hell of phone here. It has very good display, it comes with dual core processor and 512 RAM and 2GB Internal Memory(512MB for Apps) and Jellybean.. I think this is the best you can get at this price range. Only problem I can point out is it's not so good battery(but not Worst). 1400mAh for this model is less than moderate and would have been great had they provided better battery.

I never have faith in indian branded android . Already i have own a xperia mini from sony ericsson. But it's time to cheer up with my new Lava iris 405. I have rooted it easyly by frame root method .I Have swapped default memory to my external 16gb card. I have already installed 150 plus apps. Ram memory remains around 150 mb to do other works.

Pros:1)1Ghz dual core processor which is realiy good.games like subway surfers,temple run,fruit ninja,ragging thunder,etc works smoothly.

Got this phone 4 days back from flipkart - awesome service! I am a heavy phone user and have used variants of iphone, Samsung and Sony. Needed a cheap phone for my Mom. Did a quick research to find best under 6K phone and the result was - Lava Iris 405. The phone didn't disappoint me.
Pros:
-Very good display.
-Smooth interface.
-Very good performance for this range.
-Nice camera
-Screen guard, phone back cover also comes in the package.

Cons:
-Low flash
-Power and volume button are parallel...

I bought this phone about 10 months back, and is using it for about 6 months.
I review its long term performance and ways to improve battery life.

Pros: Reasonably good user interface and pretty fast performance. In short,
have not faced any major problem that could not be rectified.

Cons: Poor Battery level indication (error ~20%) and charger, lack of
protection in case of slight over voltage in head phone connection.

Why would you want to buy a more expensive phone when you get the same features in the Lava Iris 405+. The phone has a 1.3 GHz dual core processor and android 4.2 which makes it on par with most mid range phones but at a fraction of their price. The phone also has a 5 mp camera that not only take great pics but is also capable of HD recording. the front facing VGA camera was a nice surprise for me as I wasn’t expecting the phone to have one.
